Finishing Touch undertakes work for after market colour co-ordinated body additions that
take the form of either: side skirts, front valances, spoilers and other similar items
to name a few.
Finishing Touch makes use of software to ensure that the colour match is correct and the
process of spraying the after market items can be performed without the donor vehicle being
retained at Finishing Touch's premises.
Front Valance Sample
The above example is of a Mazda RX 8's lower front valance that was supplied by the customer,
a colour match for the donor car was also taken.
Then Finishing Touch goes to work on the valance.
The next example is of the RX 8's lower front valance in the finished form. Please Note: The deep lustre of the final
article.
The valance was supplied in this form and fitted by a very satisfied customer along with other items supplied and finished.
Wheel Rim Refurbishment
Finishing Touch refurbishes damaged alloy rims to restore them to a condition so that the alloy can endure the rigours of the road for a
few more years. Often, curbed rims causes the paint finish to perforate allowing moisture and air to attack the magnesium
alloy base metal. Evidence of this (Hint: hover the mouse over the left wheel to open an image of the damage) is given by finding a white
powdery deposit on the damaged rim and if left unchecked, the rim's structural integrity is compromised. If this is the case, costly
new rims will have to be purchased.
Above, on the left is an example of a damaged rim and on the right, there's an example of the refurbished rim.
Finishing Touch often refurbishes damaged wheels to give the rims an new lease of life and more importantly, help the rim retain
its strength and help keep your car safely on the road.
Coroded Wheel Arch Refurbishment
Over many winters enduring salt damage, damp and wet conditions, rear wheel arches often show signs of corrossion that if left untreated,
can result in costly welding to repair. This damage if severe enough can lead to MOT failure.
Finishing Touch can repair the damage, particularly if caught early enough. The two photos in this section show one side after treatment (on the left)
and the other before (on the right).
The earlier the problem is treated, the better the final results will be and the photos are testament of what can be done. Treatment
also includes the application of Wax Oil where necessary by injected into box sections.
